The May Fayre
This will be the fayre’s 60th year... maybe... something close!
It’s an annual event, shared between the village, the school and the church, held on the village field - stalls, games, dog show, performances, food and drink. It’s enormous fun, forming friendships and galvanising neighbours, and it raises lots of money for things: from school classrooms and planning battles; through sports facilities and events; to planters and Christmas trees.
We get around a thousand visitors, coming from all over. It’s massive! It all happens with love and kindness and it would never happen without... YOU! (picture Lord Kitchener, hat’n’moustache, pointing out of the poster!)
May Fayre SET-UP
Saturday AND Sunday 9am, on the village field. Roll up your sleeves, bring gloves, get busy.
We need to set up all of the stands and furniture, the arena, the crossbows, coconut shy, goal. We need to lay out the parking, set up the signage, run the power, etc.etc. It’s a big job so the more the merrier. There will be bacon rolls for everyone that come to help.
